It's never too late to come to Jesus

Three believers were baptized this month, and God gave the increase.

Three believers were baptized this past month. It’s a short sentence, but behind it are years of prayer and faithful sowing, and God gave the increase.

Pastor Josué was appointed as our executive pastor, which formalizes what he has already been doing for a long time. Anyone who has served alongside him knows this was overdue.

Our Bible college hosted a missions class, and we're closing out year one with classes running 25 to 35 students. These are local men and women learning to study and teach God’s Word, so leaders can be raised up from within the church.

The school has a real need and a deadline. We need two new teachers, and the decision has to be made by October. Forty-eight children, preschool through fifth grade, and for most of them this is the furthest anyone in their family has gone in school. Twenty-five dollars a month helps keep a Christian teacher in a classroom.

Three other things are moving. The Safe Haven Initiative has $25,000 committed and $35,000 to go, with construction beginning in December. The ministry house needs its back half and kitchen finished so we can host teams and interns. And on December 5 we launch a skate and action sports ministry — a few ramps, rails, and quarter pipes, built for a crowd most churches have turned away.

We pray the skate ministry becomes a place where young people who feel far from God discover that it’s never too late to come to Jesus.

Two Teachers. Sixty Children. One Year.

Next year we’re adding sixth grade and expanding preschool, growing from 48 to about 60 children. Here’s how you can help us fund two new teachers.

This year there are 48 children in our Christian elementary and preschool. Next year we’re adding sixth grade, so students who finish fifth grade with us don’t have to leave for a new school. With that addition and an expanded preschool, we expect to serve about 60 children.

To make that possible, we need two new teachers. One will lead the new sixth grade. The other will teach preschool, which finally frees our principal, Valeska, from carrying two full-time jobs at once. She has been teaching preschool every morning and leading the school the rest of the day, and neither role has had her full attention.

The school is more than a school. It’s part of what keeps every door of ministry open, from children and youth to men, women, and our new Bible college. When the school is strong, all of it keeps moving forward.

What it costs:

  • $670 a month supports one teacher completely: her salary, benefits, and her share of running the school.

  • $1,200 (one time) covers hiring and onboarding both teachers.

  • About $8,000 carries one teacher for a full year.

We have no reserve, and every dollar that comes in is already committed. Would you pray that God brings the right teachers, and consider helping us fund them? If everyone reading gave $22 a month, both teachers would be funded.

Meet Pastor Josue and Karina

Pastor Josue and Karina serve in the church, the school, and so much more. Their faithful, loving service refreshes our whole church family.

“Let all that you do be done with love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14 (NKJV)

Paul closes his first letter to the Corinthians by honoring faithful ministry partners who “refreshed my spirit and yours” (16:18). We can’t help but think of Pastor Josue and Karina. They faithfully serve the Lord in love, and their lives are a blessing to our whole church family.

Where they serve:

  • The school: Karina works closely with our principal and has taken on many of the school’s administrative responsibilities, including supporting the teachers. Pastor Josue is also deeply involved in school life and administration.

  • The church: Pastor Josue teaches men’s and youth Bible studies, helps lead worship, handles the endless church administration, and pours into the men of the church, always serving with a smile.

  • Children’s and women’s ministry: Karina serves in both.

The beginning of the year has been busy and challenging, and they have remained steadfast. We praise God for using them to make an eternal impact in our church and community.

Please pray for: guidance and equipping from the Holy Spirit to fulfill their calling, their health, and provision for their needs.

Back to School

A new school year, a new fifth grade, and six teachers we’re asking you to pray for by name.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.” Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)

It has been a busy and exciting season as we begin the 2026 school year at our elementary school. We praise God for the continued open door to minister to our students and their families. This new year brought challenging circumstances that caused us to lean in closer to the Lord, but they also let us see His favor, grace, and faithfulness in an incredible way. He cares for His children!

Our prayer and mission is that our students, beyond getting a great education, would come to know Jesus and become His disciples, and then carry the message of hope, found only in Jesus, into their homes and communities.

Meet our teachers. Please pray for them by name, that the Lord would give them wisdom from above and His unconditional love for each student: Valeska (principal and kindergarten), Nayka (first grade), Iraida (second grade), Cindy (third grade), Olga (fourth grade), and Angelica (fifth grade).

We’re still praying for monthly partners to come alongside this school and help meet its costs.
